Gulf Keystone Petroleum to merge with neighboring producer ShaMaran
Gulf Keystone Petroleum Limited (LSE:GKP) has announced a deal, an all-share merger, with ShaMaran Petroleum, creating an oil producer valued at more than $1 billion with combined production of approximately 53,000 barrels per day across Kurdistan and Federal Iraq. The transaction values ShaMaran at approximately $601 million, representing a 22.9% premium to its latest closing share price.
