Gold rebounds as softer dollar supports fourth straight daily gain
Gold extended gains at the start of April as a weaker U.S. dollar improved bullion’s appeal, while investors kept a close eye on Middle East developments.
Spot gold climbed for a fourth consecutive session on April 1, helped by a softer dollar and hopes that easing geopolitical tension could revive expectations for Fed rate cuts later in 2026. Analysts noted that lower oil and inflation pressure would be a constructive backdrop for bullion.
